Chase Mobile Hits the Android Marketplace
New York-based JPMorgan Chase Bank has released its Chase Mobile app in the Google Android Marketplace, bringing features popularized by its iPhone app - including mobile remote deposit capture - to a wider base of customers.
As with Chase's iOS app, Chase Mobile for Android allows users to log on to online banking services, contact the bank or use the phone's GPS to find the nearest branch and ATM locations. When logged into the app, customers can check account balances and activity, pay bills or deposit checks using the device's camera.
Chase is the last of the big four banks to release a native app for Android mobile OS. Wells Fargo and Bank of America both have apps available through Android Marketplace, while Citibank offers its app for download through its website. Chase is the largest domestic bank to offer mobile remote deposit capture on Android.
Chase also offers mobile banking through SMS and mobile browsers.
