Permata Bank Selects Hypercom's Optimum for Mini-ATM Roll Out in Indonesia
Permata Bank, one of the largest national banks in Indonesia with more than 269 branch offices in 57 cities, has selected and will deploy Hypercom Corp.'s (Scottsdale, Ariz.) Optimum T4200 payment terminals as part of the bank's nationwide Mini-ATM rollout. The first phase of the multi-city rollout is expected to begin next month. The initial rollout will consist of more than 500 co-branded terminals ordered and supported by Hypercom value-added reseller PT Multi Adiprakarsa Manunggal (Kartuku).
The Mini-ATMs, installed at participating retail locations, will enable the bank's customers to complete more than 100 types of transactions, including paying bills ranging from utility, insurance and credit card bills, and purchasing goods and services, such as airline tickets and mobile phone pre-paid vouchers.
"Permata Mini-ATM has a fairly significant role in Indonesia's online payment solutions. This service not only supports partnerships with entrepreneurs, but small, medium, and large-sized businesses as well. We envision installing Permata's Mini-ATM across Indonesia in every type of retail outlet in residential areas, traditional markets and even roadside minimarts," said YB Hariantono, Head of Network at Permata Bank, in a statement.
