National City Extends Card Processing Deal with First Data

National City Bank (Cleveland) has renewed its debit and credit card processing relationship with Denver-based First Data. Terms were not disclosed. First Data processes 5.6 million signature debit card accounts and 3.8 million credit card accounts for National City. The bank is also a member of the STAR e-payments network, which is owned by First Data. The companies' relationship dates back to 1996.
