KeyCorp Promotes William L. Hartman to Chief Risk Officer As Chuck Hyle Retires
KeyCorp announced today the retirement of Chief Risk Officer Chuck Hyle, who will be replaced by William L. Hartman.
Hartman joined KeyCorp (asset size $87 billion) in 2010 as chief credit officer and chair of the bank's Credit risk Committee, leading the bank's credit risk management efforts. BEfore joining Cleveland, Ohio-based KeyCorp Hartman worked at Citigroup for 29 years; his most recent position there was global head of Large Corporate Risk Management.
KeyCorp said in a statement that Chuck Hyle, who has been the bank's Chief Risk Officer since 2004, will work through the end of the year.to help Hartman transition to the role. Hartman will assume his ne position immediately, KeyCorp said in a statement.
"Bill's depth of knowledge and experience will enable Key to conitnue effective enterprise risk management and to balance risk and reward," Beth Mooney, KeyCorp's CEO, whom HArtman will report to, said in the company's statement.
