CSI to Acquire HEIT
Paducah, Ky.-based Computer Services, Inc. (CSI), a provider of services and software to financial institutions nationwide, has entered into an agreement to acquire HEIT, a Fort Collins, Colo.-based provider of cloud-based managed compliance, security and IT services. HEIT currently operates two fully staffed, secured data centers -- one in Fort Collins, Colo. and one in Austin, Texas -- that CSI would gain in the acquisition, along with more than 400 new customers.
The acquisition would expand CSI's portfolio to include cloud-based products and services, giving the financial institutions it serves the option to partially or completely outsource their IT operations. By taking advantage of cloud-based managed services, CSI customers would be able to grow and maintain their IT operations and services without adding extra staff. In addition, they'd have access to a team of IT experts who would provide around-the-clock security and compliance coverage.
"Financial institutions today are under more regulatory pressure and security threats than ever before," said Steve Powless, CSI's CEO, in a statement announcing the agreement. "We remain dedicated to ensuring that our customers have the highest levels of compliance and security in place. The addition of HEIT to the CSI family will provide our existing customers with expanded services, enhancing their competitiveness with more secure and efficient technology and operations."
The companies have not yet disclosed the terms of the purchase, which is expected to take place on September 1.
