MB Vietnam Bank Accelerates Its Core

After years of rapid growth, MB Vietnam, formerly known as the Military Bank of Vietnam, Hanoi, has updated its core banking IT system, Temenos T24, to accommodate higher volumes.

At the same time, to ensure high performance throughout its IT infrastructure, the bank also implemented capacity management products and services from BMC.

"BMC Professional Services helped us identify current issues in our system while also looking ahead to project future server capacity needs," said Hoang Van Kien, the chief information officer at MB Vietnam, in a statement. "BMC Software's experience and insight into the banking and finance business has helped us more quickly troubleshoot problems and proactively resolve performance issues, dramatically improving our customer service."

The bank says using BMC's Capacity Management software and services has resolved bottlenecks and performance issues within its IT department. Two days after purchasing the software, it was able to detect and prevent the failure of an important banking application and resolve the incident before it became a problem, spokespeople say.
