BNP Paribas Extends Contract with Mainframe Provider Clerity
Paris-based BNP Paribas (2.058 trillion EUR in assets) today signed a new three-year support agreement for mainframe migration provider Clerity's UniKix Mainframe Rehosting software.
BNP Paribas has used the software for more than a 15 years to provide online core banking services at more than 65 subsidiaries worldwide.
"Using Clerity's UniKix Mainframe Rehosting software allows us to deploy our ATLAS II in-house integrated banking system on an affordable, reliable platform across the globe," said Stephane Uhl, group manager at BNP Paribas. "We continue to be pleased by the ongoing evolution of UniKix technology and responsiveness of the Clerity support team."
Currently BNP Paribas supports between 1,000 and 1,500 concurrent online users at each of its branch locations. It has tested Clerity's software with more than 6,000 users running 1.5 million operations per day. The software provides an environment for migrating and maintaining mainframe workloads on open systems.
