Untangling the Web
December, Commerce Bank (Kansas City, Mo.) rolled out an enhanced online banking platform from Portland, Ore.-based Corillian to its small business customers, providing them with a more user-friendly online banking experience. The new system now offers functionality such as single-location access to both personal and business accounts; secure e-mail communication; archiving of transaction, check and deposit slip images for 90 days; archiving of statement images for two years; and tiered authority controls for setup and maintenance of additional account users.
"The flexibility of the Corillian Small Business Banking solution enables us to seamlessly incorporate small business capabilities into our online channel while maintaining the look and feel of one integrated system," said Cynthia Tetrault, vice president of online banking for Commerce Bank, in a release. "Since the launch of the new system, we have seen a tremendous increase in [its adoption], with a jump in online enrollments and positive feedback from our small business customers."
HSBC Enhances Fraud Detection
HSBC Holdings (London) deployed the Fraud Predictor solution from Minneapolis-based Fair Isaac. Built on Fair Isaac's Falcon Fraud Manager card fraud detection solution, Fraud Predictor integrates merchant data to better predict irregular patterns. The solution calculates fraud scores for authorization requests based on transaction data at the cardholder level, as well as transaction and fraud history at the merchant level. "Adding Fraud Predictor ... will help us limit fraud losses across our global network and provide our cardholders with the real-time protection they need," said HSBC's George Lennox in a statement.

The Nautilus ECM system is a suite of image-enabled electronic document management applications that, when integrated with UniFi Pro, enable electronic presentment of loan documents as well as electronic signature capability. "With UniFi Pro and Nautilus automation and workflow management tools, we have been able to recreate ourselves as a paperless enterprise," said Ken Rusdal, SVP of operations and information systems at the bank.
Enterprise Simplifies Password Management
To manage its passwords more efficiently, in January, Enterprise Bank and Trust (St. Louis) went live with Lexington, Mass.-based Imprivata's OneSign enterprise single-sign-on solution. The bank claims the solution has helped it reduce cost and strain on the IT department due to its straightforward interface. "With Imprivata's quick-to-deploy, out-of-the-box solution, we've found a way to comply with audit regulations while significantly reducing help desk costs and improving employee productivity," said Steve Siress, network systems manager with Enterprise Bank, in a statement.
