uGenius Enables Video Banking From the Comfort of Home
In the race to provide customers with consultative services outside of the expensive-to-maintain branch network, uGenius, a video banking solutions provider, is enabling customers to video conference with banking representatives from the comfort of their own homes. The company announced today the roll out of uGenius Online Video Banking, an interface allowing customers to speak with their bank from any computer capable of taking video.
The solution will allow banks to have tellers and experts on loans, investments and mortgages available 24 hours to service their customers, while providing a more personal interaction than the call center. The customer will be able to initiate a call from a desktop or laptop computer, from their home or office, and the call is then routed to the financial institution's agent.
Management will also be able to monitor the calls in real-time to help improve customer service. uGenuis said via statement today that the solution includes an encrypted transmission of all the information provided during a conference for security purposes, as well as a customer authentication system. Custoemrs and agents will also have a two-way chat tool at their disposal for sending confidential information.
uGenius added in its statement that the company is conducting trials with select banking institutions around the globe this year.
