When you hear analysts and advertisers talk about our future in a cashless society, Gold To Go is probably not what they have in mind.

Nonetheless, the new machine, which dispenses gold bars in return for cash, made its debut this week in the heart of an Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates-based hotel. As Sky News reports, the novelty ties in with the "high rolling atmosphere" and the region's penchant for gold commerce. It dispenses gold in up to 10-gram bars or customized coins.
