Citi Plans to Double Malaysian Mobile Banking Base in Two Years

Citi today launched a new mobile banking platform in Malaysia and vowed to grow its mobile banking user base in that country by more than 100% within two years. The bank already has 120,000 Malaysian mobile banking customers in the Southeast Asian country.

Citi today launched a new mobile banking platform in Malaysia and vowed to grow its mobile banking user base in that country by more than 100% within two years. The bank already has 120,000 Malaysian mobile banking customers in the Southeast Asian country."Citibank Mobile is a comprehensive mobile banking solution which provides customers with transactional banking services and real information on their mobile phones," Roy Heong, head of alternate channels and e-business told Malaysian news agency Bernama today at the launch.

According to Bernama, Citibank Mobile is a customized version of Citibank Online that has been optimized for standard mobile devices, including the iPhone. Customers can use their online banking user name and password to use the new mobile banking service.
