Citi Nabs Top Institutional E-Banking Platform In Analyst Study
Citibank has the No. 1 institutional e-banking platform in research and consulting firm Greenwich Associates' Online Services Benchmarking study, the third straight year the bank has been placed atop the list.
The study, which covers institutional online banking applications, analyzed the platforms of "leading banks" and ranked them based on more than 40 individual criteria, such as usability, product features, integration, payments and reporting.
"E-banking platforms targeting corporate and commercial clients globally have evolved remarkably over the past several years to become much more user-centric," says Marc Harrison, a consultant at Greenwich Associates. "Citi’s BE platform and applications that are part of CitiDirect are very strong in breadth of functionality and in terms of the user experience."
Greenwich Associates also ranked Citi high in the categories of overall product features, country/regional management, payments/receivables, information access/reporting.
"At Citi, we are committed to helping our clients optimize their business processes by providing increased efficiency, visibility and control while keeping ease of use as a top priority," says Hubert J.P. Jolly, Global Head of Information Services. "These rankings are a testament to Citi’s dedication to innovation and technology, as we continue to evolve our platforms in step with our clients’ changing business needs."
Citi's Global Transaction Services supports more than 65,000 clients, including multinational corporations, financial institutions and pubic sector organizations, the bank said in a release.
