The National Commerce Financial Corporation has launched a show aimed at senior banking managers and executives interested in learning how to better sell investment and insurance products at bank branches.
The show, "Creating Brokerage and Insurance Sales Success Within Your Financial Institution," will be held on October 22 and 23 at the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago. CCBi Consulting will oversee the conference portion of the show, which will focus on techniques to boost revenues and profits from sales of non-traditional bank products.

Financial Fusion and IBM have begun a series of roundtable discussions focusing on how to leverage Internet delivery channels to increase competitiveness and profitability.
The discussions, entitled 'Food For Thought Roundtable Series," will feature experts from the banking, vendor and analyst communities talking about wallet share, customer retention, speed of deployment and other issues currently facing retail bank executives responsible for Internet strategy. The roundtables will take place at various locations throughout the United States this month, starting with Boston on September 11 and ending in San Francisco on September 20.

The National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) will hold a conference on the electronic check at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on September 10 and 11.
The event, called "Electronic Check 2001,"will feature the results of NACHA's request for comment on proposed Electronic Check rule changes. It will also have an Electronic Check Roundtable, Federal Reserve comment on the proposed Check Truncation Act, and an update on check imaging. All sessions are backed by NACHA's Electronic Check Council, the premier industry forum developing solutions to the challenges associated with the conversion of paper checks to electronic entries.
