QinetiQ to Acquire Cyber Intelligence Solutions Provider Cyveillance

QinetiQ North America (McLean, Va.), a provider of information technology and engineering solutions to the U.S. government, will acquire Cyveillance (Arlington, Va.). According to a release announcing the agreement, which is still pending regulatory approval, as a QinetiQ North America subsidiary Cyveillance will continue to deliver Internet risk and threat intelligence to commercial organizations worldwide while providing QinetiQ North America with the technology and expertise to enhance its government-focused cyber security and intelligence solutions.

Currently used by several global commercial organizations, Cyveillance's OSI (Open Source Intelligence) technology and services are described by the parties as complements to the QinetiQ portfolio of security offerings to address increased demands of federal cyber security initiatives. QinetiQ is part of QinetiQ Group PLC, a global defense and security technology company.
