SunTrust Names Robert Blair Head of Commercial Card Services

SVP will oversee corporate, purchasing and prepaid card programs, as well as SunTrust's Enterprise Spend Platform technology. Robert Blair has joined SunTrust Banks, Inc.'s (Atlanta), Treasury & Payment Solutions division as senior vice president, commercial card services. Blair's responsibilities will include directing all aspects of SunTrust's commercial card business, which consists of corporate, purchasing and prepaid card programs, as well as the institution's Enterprise Spend Platform technology.

"Robert brings over 22 years of experience and knowledge in business operations, product management and information technology," said David Fuller, executive vice president and division manager for SunTrust Treasury & Payment Solutions, in a statement. "I am excited about his vision and direction for commercial card services."

Previously, Blair served SunTrust as an SVP in enterprise delivery services, where he was responsible for a technology investment portfolio, the delivery of transaction systems, and technology integration efforts surrounding merger and acquisition activities. Prior to joining SunTrust, Blair was CIO and chief product executive for Vital Processing Services, L.L.C. He also served as CIO for CitiStreet L.L.C., the benefits outsourcing division of ING.
