Royal Bank of Scotland Restructures Treasury Team

The Royal Bank of Scotland introduced a new product structure for the Global Transaction Services (GTS) division. The new strategy for GTS combines the global product group into one channel to further improve customer efficiencies and focuses on working capital optimization, risk mitigation and improving liquidity to drive profitability. Ron Kalifa, head of global products, GTS will lead the combined international cash management, global trade finance, and global merchant services and commercial cards (GMS&CC) teams.

Kalifa's new role will be to further improve product synergies and cross-selling across all divisions including international cash management, global trade finance and GMS&CC. He has over 20 years experience with RBS and has held several roles, most recently as managing director of GMS&CC.

The following members of the management team will report to Kalifa:

Adnan Ghani, head of global trade finance, GTS; Raghav Prasad, head of global merchant services; David Rockcliff, head of global commercial cards, GTS; and David Manson, head of international cash management, GTS.
