Misys, Dovetail Partner for SEPA Direct Debit Solution

Global application software and services firm Misys plc (London), will partner with payments solutions provider Dovetail (Fairfield, N.J.) for packaged payments solutions that are pre-integrated with their banking systems. The first packaged solution is for SEPA Direct Debit.

The solution will be a joint effort. Misys will take a packaged SEPA DD solution from Dovetail, built from components of the Dovetail Payments System. It will then integrate this with Misys applications and Misys Message Manager. HCL Technologies (Noida, India), a strategic partner of Misys, will manage global deployment of the solution.

The resulting JavaEE solution will help banks automate their payments requirements and increase straight-through processing rates, as well as give banks more efficient payments processing capabilities, enabling them to service their customers more effectively and grow their business more rapidly at lower cost, the company asserts. Misys recently earned the SWIFT Ready Financial EAI 2008 accreditation for Misys Message Manager, and is one of the world's largest generators of SWIFT messages, with more than 1,000 sites worldwide.
