Link2Gov Offers PayPal’s Bill Me Later as Tax Payment Option
Milwaukee-based Metavante's Link2Gov, provider of electronic payment processing systems for federal, state and local governments, now offers PayPay's Bill Me Later (Timonium, Md.) as a payment option for qualified taxpayers.
Taxpayers can now log onto BML.PAY1040.com, powered by Link2Gov, to pay their individual or business federal taxes. Users are guided through the Bill Me Later real-time payment process. Bill Me Later offers customers credit for single transactions at the point of payment online, and provides authorization for approved customers within seconds.
In addition to federal taxes, Link2Gov plans to add Bill Me Later as a standard payment option along with the card-based and electronic check payment solutions it provides to non-IRS government agencies of all sizes.
"The Bill Me Later value proposition for Link2Gov is a classic case of delivering additional payment options to drive increased adoption of the cost-efficient online payments services Link2Gov supports for government agencies. In addition, Bill Me Later is able to deliver an exclusive consumer demographic to Link2Gov, opening a new market to our service," said Frank D'Angelo, group president, Metavante Payment Solutions, which includes Link2Gov, in a statement.
