Intuit Launches GoPayment Card Reader in Canada
Mountain View, Calif.-based Intuit announced that it plans to implement its GoPayment mobile credit card app and card reader in Canada.
GoPayment allows small business owners to process credit or debit card payments using their smartphone or tablet. The pocket-sized GoPayment reader, introduced two years ago by Intuit, plugs into the audio jack of any supported smartphone or tablet, including devices running the iOS, Android and BlackBerry operating systems. In Canada, GoPayment will initially be compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.

GoPayment for Canada and the new GoPayment card reader will both be available in early 2012, according to Intuit.
