First Data Names New CEO

First Data Names Jonathan Judge, former Paychex CEO and IBM veteran, as new Chief Executive Officer.

Jonathan J. Judge has been named chief executive officer of electronic commerce and payment processing company First Data Corp. Judge succeeds Joe Forehand, chairman of First Data’s board of directors and a senior advisor at KKR, who was also serving as the company’s interim CEO. Forehand will continue to serve as chairman of the board.

Before serving at Paychex, Judge was the CEO for Crystal Decisions, which in 2003 was purchased by Business Objects. Judge helped integrate the two companies through 2004. Prior to that he spent 26 years with IBM, starting as a sales trainee and eventually leading the Personal Computing Division.
