ABN AMRO Links Up With SunGard
ABN AMRO is offering corporate clients of SunGard Treasury Systems direct access from their treasury management systems to ABN AMRO's cash management services through its global banking network and partner banks.
The integration of SunGard's eTreasury eXchange (eTX) secure messaging network and ABN AMRO's GlobalGateway service is intended to help corporate treasurers achieve the convenience of straight-through processing for a range of payment and reporting services.
GlobalGateway delivers a broad range of cash management services from its worldwide network of branches and subsidiaries including LaSalle Bank, Standard Federal and Banco Real, as well as integrated capabilities from a growing set of partner banks. Clients of ABN AMRO and SunGard Treasury Systems are now able to benefit from the tight integration of services, thereby eliminating disparate, manual steps in their treasury management process.
"We have already received strong response to this new service across all regions," according to John Gibbons, global head of sales at ABN AMRO, Working Capital.
ABN AMRO GlobalGateway is a high volume, multi-currency transaction and reporting channel delivering straight-through payment processing worldwide. It operates by routing files and transactions through the bank's global infrastructure to and from its network of banks, branches, partner banks and the SWIFT network.
In addition to reporting and reconciliation features, GlobalGateway offers a Web-based facility that provides real-time tracking and tracing of files, interchanges, batches and individual transactions.
