Source Technologies Redesigns Kiosk
Source Technologies (Charlotte, N.C.) redesigned its 5-Series Kiosk to provide greater flexibility in device integration. The 5-Series -- which can be used in financial institutions for self-service transactions -- uses standard, off-the-shelf hardware and software, enabling retailers and financial institutions to benefit from lower acquisition, operating and maintenance costs; reduced upgrade times; and extended equipment life, the vendor claims.
SIA Automates Best Execution for MiFID
SIA (Milan) has launched a software tool for best execution on securities transactions to help firms comply with Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) requirements. Users of SIA's execution policy monitoring for MiFID platform, SIA-EAGLE, are guaranteed that transactions are carried out in the best possible conditions -- in terms of profitability, cost and timeliness -- in line with the execution strategy agreed upon by their own financial intermediaries, the company says.
Kodak Launches New Check 21 Solutions
Eastman Kodak (Rochester, N.Y.) and CFC Technology Corp. (Minneapolis) introduced a hosted platform for Check 21 processing. The platform, managed by CFC, will utilize Kodak's portfolio of Internet-based check imaging solutions. The hosted service allows banks to pay as they go based on demand, as opposed to making upfront investments in in-house technology.
