Embedded Electronic Display Panel
SiPix Imaging (Fremont, Calif.) and SmartDisplayer (Taipei, Taiwan) have developed a flexible display panel embedded into an ISO-compliant payment card. During an online transaction, the cardholder obtains a number by pressing a button on the card. The user then enters the number, proving the presence of the card and enabling the completion of the transaction.
ID Fraud Detection, Prevention
Edentify (Bethlehem, Pa.) has upgraded its ID fraud detection and prevention software, which enables institutions to determine the level of business risk associated with a person's identity. According to the company, IDBenchmark 2.0 performs identity screening 200 percent to 300 percent faster than earlier versions and uses pattern recognition and fraud detection technology to derive a composite risk score. The solution also includes an intuitive user interface and in-depth reports of an identity's risk factors.

CA (Islandia, N.Y.) unveiled its portfolio of new technology, services and training programs designed to more effectively implement and automate IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices. The CA Service Management Accelerator portfolio includes integrated IT flow technology blueprints, a best practices ITIL library and ITSM maturity analysis services to assess how an organization supports ITIL.
