Maritz Acquires Allegiance Software

Maritz Holdings Inc., which owns market research and consulting firm Maritz Research Inc., announced today it has acquired software company Allegiance Software Inc. and will combine the two companies to create a new company, MartizCX.

The new company will be focused on helping firms, including those in financial services, increase customer retention and improve customer experience. The new company says it will combine the data analytics and software expertise of the former Allegiance Software with the market research knowledge of Maritz.

The newly combined firm will have more than 900 full-time employees in 18 offices located in five different global regions, the firm said. The MaritzCX platform -- to be called the Allegiance platform -- will provide self-service capabilities that allow clients to create or change reports on their own, and will integrate with Salesforce.com, Adobe, and other popular data systems, the firm announced.
