New Wells Fargo Blog Discusses Environmental Efforts

Keeping customers abreast of its environmental activities is among the purposes for the recently-launched Wells Fargo Environmental Forum blog. The blog, which launched in mid-march, is the latest in the bank's social media efforts, which include six blogs, two twitter accounts, three YouTube channels and communities on Facebook and MySpace.

An introductory blog post by Mary Wenzel, Wells Fargo director of environmental affairs, established the blog as a place where the bank's environmental affairs team can write about their efforts in sustainability and answer customer questions.

Over the next few months, you'll have a chance to meet many different Wells Fargo Environmental Forum bloggers - a terrific group that includes our Environmental Affairs team, as well as some of our internal business partners, green advocates and friends. We'll blog about investing in solar, building energy efficient buildings, forming Wells Fargo Green Teams (grassroots team member networks), establishing a greenhouse gas emissions reduction goal, eradicating Styrofoam cups (a serious work in progress), and much more.

Among several early blog posts, Wells Fargo writers discuss varied topics such as Earth Day 2010 and the bank's environmental finance report.
