Lloyds TSB Names Mark Fisher Director of Group IT & Operations

Mark Fisher has been appointed director of group IT & operations and a member of the group executive committee (GEC) of Lloyds TSB Group (London). This appointment completes the new GEC that will lead the newly named Lloyds Banking Group following the acquisition of HBOS (Edinburgh).

Fisher joins Lloyds TSB from Edinburgh-based Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) where he has served as an executive director. He was also responsible for helping the integration of ABN AMRO into RBS. Fisher has spent all of his career in banking and has been a director of RBS since March 2006 and chief executive of the Manufacturing Division at RBS since 2000. The manufacturing division employs 25,000 people supporting the group's activities including IT, Property, Purchasing and back-office services functions.
