First Houston Becomes Envoy Mortgage

Mortgage banking firm First Houston Mortgage, (Houston), which is licensed in 20 states, has changed its name to Envoy Mortgage.

The name change comes as the company is working to rebrand itself from a regional company to a national lending organization. The bank has been in the mortgage business for the past 11 years.

Within the previous six months, Envoy Mortgage has added 22 offices and attained licensing in eight additional states. Envoy currently has 34 offices in nine states. By the end of 2009, Envoy seeks to conduct business in 30 states.
