American Express Names Bill Glenn an Executive Officer
Bill Glenn, President, Global Merchant Services, American Express (New York, N.Y.) has been named an Executive Officer of the company.
Glenn joined American Express in 2002. He led the merchant business in North America and took on additional responsibility for worldwide operations, pricing, marketing and strategy for the merchant network in 2005. Since that time, Glenn has led the company's efforts to expand Card acceptance in new categories such as residential rent and business-to-business transactions. He was named to his current role as head of the global merchant network in June of 2007. Prior to joining American Express, Glenn was President of Pepsi-Cola North America's Food Service Division overseeing sales, marketing, operations, customer service and finance for the unit.
