Capgemini (Paris), a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has named Aiman Ezzat chief executive officer of the Financial Services Global Business Unit, effective January 1, 2009.
Ezzat previously was chief operating officer of this unit. He worked with Raymond Spencer, who was its CEO. He will assume the non-executive chairman role of the unit.
Ezzat has spent most of his career with Capgemini. In 1991 he joined Gemini Consulting, Capgemini's consulting arm, where he was responsible for the global oil, gas and chemical sector. In 2005 he was appointed deputy director of group strategy before becoming COO of the Financial Services Business unit in 2007.
