IDEA Version Eight Enables Visual Documentation of Workflows for Financial Professionals
CaseWare IDEA (Toronto) and Audimation Services, Inc. (Houston), announced new functionality and enhancement features for IDEA Version Eight, which helps simplify and improve the quality of data analysis work. IDEA Version Eight includes a project overview feature that presents a graphical representation of the entire audit or investigation process, which may be shared with management or used to meet documentation requirements. The graphical overview includes all the actions performed within a working folder or IDEA Server project, including the creation, deletion, and modification of databases, as well as recording all actions performed. This new feature provides the ability to independently review the workflows including drill-down capabilities for additional history. IDEA Version Eight offers multiple ease-of-use enhancements including a Visual Script that allows users to build their own scripts without any programming. Users may also individually select records they wish to extract, allowing them to concentrate on specific areas for more in-depth review. IDEA Version Eight is Vista compatible and offers increased flexibility with network and stand-alone licensing. Loading and sharing the software has also been simplified with features such as an automatic search for quarterly updates and auto-install functions.
