** Umpqua Hires Baker

Former West Coast Bank (Lake Oswego, Ore.) SVP John Baker joined Umpqua Bank (Portland, Ore.) as SVP of product strategies. He also will oversee the bank's treasury management division.

** SNH Taps McKenzie

Southern New Hampshire Bank and Trust (Salem, N.H.) hired Charlene Ball McKenzie as business development officer. She previously worked in sales and marketing at HealthSouth New England Rehabilitation Hospital.

** New First Horizon VP

Thomas F. Costantini Jr., a former loan officer for Green Pastures Mortgage and Finance (Towson, Md.), has joined First Horizon Bank (Dallas) as VP of retail banking for the Maryland metro region.

** Maher Joins CheckSpring

CheckSpring Bank, a new community bank headquartered in New York, hired Brian Maher as chief lending officer. Previously, Maher was VP of loan administration at Naugatuck Savings Bank (Naugatuck, Conn.).

** Metavante Promotion

Milwaukee-based Metavante promoted senior executive vice president and CFO Michael Hayford to COO. He will manage all business lines and operations.
