Executive Changes
Roy T. Fielding, Ph.D, has been named chief scientist for Day, a provider of business unification solutions based in New Port Beach, Calif., and Basel, Switzerland. Fielding will work in Day's newly formed Research Group to further define and expand the capabilities of Day's Nnext generation software solutions for managing all digital content throughout the global enterprise. He is widely known for his work in developing and defining the WWW infrastructure through his work with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). He is the primary architect of the current Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP/1.1), co-author of the Internet standards for HTTP and Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI), and a founder of several open source software projects, including the Apache HTTP Server Project.

Cort H. Pouch has been appointed vice president of global sales for DWL Inc., a unified business service provider. In this newly created position, Pouch is responsible for the executive management of DWL's global sales operation to include North American, Canadian and UK sales and sales support operations. Prior to joining DWL, he was vice president of industry marketplaces at Ariba where his team worked with customers to develop and create the largest business-to-business marketplaces.

Robert Pavich was appointed to the newly created position of vice president of banking solutions for Centerpost Corporation, a provider of automated communications solutions. Pavich will oversee all client development on a national basis in the areas of consumer banking and cash management. He has over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing of technology solutions to the financial services industry. His extensive experience includes Internet and wireless infrastructure sales, corporate and consumer banking applications, automated decision support systems and electronic information services.
