Gersch Named Chief Credit Officer at Amcore

Rockford, Ill.-based Amcore Bank promoted Steven Gersch to chief credit officer. He was previously SVP and senior credit officer. Gersch succeeds Melvin Buser, who retired from the company in July.

Gersch, who joined the bank in April 2008, will be responsible for overall credit quality at Amcore. He will lead and guide the bank relative to credit policies and manage a team of credit and workout professionals.
