Ellie Mae Acquires Assets of Stewart Lender Services’ Online Documents Business

Software and services provider Ellie Mae (Pleasanton, Calif.) has acquired the assets of Online Documents, Inc., (Concord, Calif.), a provider of guaranteed compliant mortgage documents, from Steward Lender Services, Inc. (Houston).

Ellie Mae will continue to serve current Online Documents customers. In the coming months, Ellie Mae will add Online Documents as an additional provider on Encompass Closer, its document preparation solution integrated within Encompass Mortgage Management Solution.

Currently, Online Documents provides services to more than 500 clients nationwide, including local and regional lenders and large enterprise organizations. The acquisition agreement between Stewart Lender Services, Inc. and Ellie Mae, Inc. includes Online Documents' employees, client relationships, technology, business operations and other assets.
