CSC Unveils Celeriti Suite of Software Products, Components and Services for Banking, Cards, Payments and Lending
With a goal of helping both existing clients and other institutions improve customer experience across all delivery channels, accelerate new product introduction and changes, and gain getter insights into customers’ actions, CSC (Falls Church, Va.) has introduced Celeriti, an end-to-end suite of software products, components and services to help financial institutions of all sizes realize the benefits of modern enterprise banking, cards, payments and lending platforms. According to CSC’s Paul Leadbetter, chief technology officer, Banking and Credit Services, who discussed the concepts behind Celeriti in a video presentation about the product launch, banks adopting the solutions “can incrementally modernize their environments … Our solution allows banks to leverage the core more fully … [resulting] in a better customer experience.”
Jay Hancock, Celeriti program manager, noted in the video discussion that, with the Celeriti introduction, CSC is providing “a unique roadmap that provides [banks’] transfer from the present to a future state.” He described this approach as “’in-place’ modernization – you don’t have to halt major [ongoing] efforts … in your enterprise.”
The new suite is comprised of five products: Celeriti Customer, Celeriti Deposits, Celeriti Loans, Celeriti Cards and Celeriti Merchant. These offerings are available to banks and other financial institutions that don’t already use CSC’s software, and to current clients considering entirely new systems. These products incorporate new capabilities that can also be delivered as new licensed components to existing clients. These are a Web portal user interface, service-oriented architecture (SOA) business processes and Web services, business intelligence and data warehouse, business rules and parameters, and distributed platform architecture. The new components add functionality and provide CSC’s existing Hogan and CAMS II licensees with a path to incrementally modernize their IT environments, the company says.
The suite leverages software from CSC’s Hogan Banking Systems and CAMS II Card & Merchant System. Maintenance and support will continue for Hogan and CAMS II, according to CSC.
Celeriti is based on one globally applicable code base for banking, payments, lending, cards and merchant management. The software is scalable across many platforms and presents an opportunity for considerable savings to banks with international presence that need consistent in-country processing.
“A key differentiator” of Celeriti, noted Leadbetter, “is that banks absolutely do not have to rip and replace to take advantage [of the solutions].” He described this as “our progressive modernization approach [that allows banks to] preserve customized functionality.”
In the video discussion, John Tyler, CSC’s director of Global Operations, Banking Solutions, stressed that the new product suite “is not just for top-tier banks,” citing the “expanded operating platforms [and] scalability and flexibility for different size organizations. This allows us to go across a spectrum of banks.”
