United Western Bank Taps Jatheon’s Plug n Comply for In-House E-Mail Archiving
United Western Bancorp has brought e-mail archiving in-house, deploying Jatheon Technologies' Plug n Comply e-mail archiving appliance throughout the holding company's United Western Bank (Denver) branch network. The Plug n Comply appliance is a scalable, turnkey solution for managing e-mail, including instant messaging and e-mail attachments, according to the vendor.
"After careful evaluation of a number of providers, we felt the Jatheon solution was the best fit for our business model," said Jamie Yancy, chief technology officer for United Western Bancorp, in a release. He added that the bank was unhappy with its outsourced e-mail archiving provider. "The plug-and-play nature of [the appliance's] setup made it easy to bring in-house," Yancy said. "And the user interface has made it easy to retrieve archived messages for e-discovery requests."
Community banks have been forced to quickly adopt compliance models in response to changing regulations, added Kieron Dowling, president and CEO of Toronto-based Jatheon. "The ease and security of an on-site Jatheon archiving appliance make it an ideal component of a community banking risk management strategy."
