HP Releases New PCI Compliance Product

The Secure Payment Services solution is designed to help reduce the cost of compliance and enable safer e-commerce payments.

HP today announced its Secure Payment Services solution, which is designed to supports its clients' efforts to reduce the costs and challenges associated with Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance.

According to HP, Secure Payment Services uses "tokenization" to minimize the risk of data exposure, by replacing credit card data with tokens that replicate the characteristics of actual data, removing the actual cardholder information.

The solution also secures e-commerce payments by enabling merchants to route payments directly from their website to HP, which facilitates the data transfer to the authorizer, the company said.
