Visa USA (San Francisco) appointed John Philip Coghlan president and CEO. Coghlan will be responsible for setting strategic priorities and will oversee a senior management team responsible for day-to-day operations. He joins Visa from Charles Schwab (San Francisco).

WaMu Names Schneider

Washington Mutual (Seattle) named David C. Schneider president of its home loans division. Schneider formerly was president and CEO of CitiMortgage (St. Louis).

BofA Compliance Exec

Bank of America (Charlotte, N.C.) appointed Regina Sullivan compliance executive, global wealth and investment management, based in Boston. Sullivan formerly was with the investment management division of Fidelity Investments (Boston).

MBA Promotion

The Mortgage Bankers Association (Washington, D.C.) promoted R.J. Schlect to director, industry technology security compliance. Schlect had led the progress of the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization e-commerce standards.

ICBA Names Raitor

Mark A. Raitor was named EVP and COO of the Independent Community Bankers of America (Washington, D.C.). He will oversee technology, human resources and conventions.
