CNBSignin Enables Two-Factor Authentication Via Mobile Devices

CNBSignIn is a two-factor authentication system that uses readily available devices such as mobile phones and PDAs for secure two-factor authentication, according to the solution's developer, Akros TechLabs LLC (Austin, Texas). CNBSignIn can be used to provide secure, authenticated access to online bank accounts, medical records, corporate e-mail and other corporate information systems, according to the vendor.

CNBSignIn uses a high-level encryption system to authenticate passwords before access is granted to the user. To accommodate a spectrum of users the PINs also can be distributed through e-mails and SMS messages. CNBSignIn uses a mobile device application and a back-end application to generate and manage the secure two-factor authentication passwords. Once the application is installed on the mobile device, it generates unique, one-time, alpha-numeric passwords for authentication, with a few keystrokes. A back-end system manages the password authentication and provides users access to their data. The solution does not require network availability, SMS messages or phone calls to authenticate the customer's identity.
