Verizon Rolls Out Wireless ATM Connectivity Solution
Verizon Enterprise Solutions announced a wireless ATM connectivity solution which banks can deploy to their remote ATMs, at events or for business continuity planning.
The Managed Wireless ATMs solution can be used by banks with remote or off-branch sites such as malls or retail stores, and also be used to quickly recover from natural disasters and outages that may impact branch locations, said Verizon.
“Historically, ATMs have been difficult to deploy to specific or temporary locations and have offered banks limited revenue generating potential,” said Scott Eason, global vice president of financial services and retail at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, in a prepared statement. “With Managed Wireless ATMs, we’ve created a winning formula that allows financial institutions to create value and control the total cost of ownership for ATMs, while providing their customers convenience and flexibility.”
The solution features encrypted, end-to-end communications over private networks, supported by Verizon’s carrier-grade scalability, reliability and service, the company said. Also, the solution integrates with Verizon’s PCI-Compliance services and includes the company’s Dynamic Mobile Network Routing capability, which provides visibility into the devices that are connected to wireless routers.
