USAA Offers iPhone App for Banking, Insurance and Securities
USAA is offering its nearly 7 million members an array of mobile financial services with the launch of its USAA Mobile App, a free iPhone application. The financial institution says it is the first to allow customers to manage a combination of banking, insurance and investment services accounts on a single, secure platform.
The USAA Mobile App adds another piece to the company's ongoing effort to help members access their accounts, on their terms, anytime, anywhere. USAA has had more than 13 million log ins since the launch of its mobile services platform last summer. Currently, 11.4 percent of USAA customers are using mobile services.
Banking features with the new mobile app include balance inquiries, bill pay, funds transfer, ATM locator, and a tool to help calculate monthly auto and home payments.
Features on the investments side include placing stock trades and receiving real-time stock quotes.
And the array of insurance functions include a checklist for accident situations, locating rental car locations, ability to contact roadside assistance, an accident notepad for jotting down important information and the ability to receive a digital copy of one's insurance card.
