Telecom: No Country for Entrepreneurs
Dayton, Ohio-based NCR has acquired NCI Ltd. (London), a provider of teller connectivity software, for an undisclosed amount. NCR hopes the move will help expand its existing branch automation business.
NCI's solutions are used by North American and European financial institutions to help improve teller productivity and cut customer wait times at their branches. With the acquisition, NCR will further develop the NCI Teller Cash Connectivity application, and leverage NCI's experience in teller connectivity for branch and teller cash recycling solutions.
NCI's Teller Cash Connectivity suite of applications offers a single software platform designed to enable the connection of teller automation devices without modification of the branch application. The suite also allows institutions to monitor transaction activity on the individual device and at a branch-wide level.
NCR's existing range of branch solutions includes consultative and design services, ATMs, intelligent deposit services, teller cash recycling, information kiosks, statement printers, pre-staging terminals, application and connectivity software, professional services and managed services.
