Liberty Bank To Install Imaging Platform
Liberty Bank, Middletown, Conn., will install an all-image platform, offering online access to paper check images at every stage of item processing.
Supplied by COCC, an Avon, Conn.-based software developer, the platform will provide comprehensive proof and transit, inclearing and return services, plus a number of other customer-facing enhancements such as the imaging of bank statements, customer access to check images and e-statements.
"COCC will enable Liberty Bank to realize significant service and cost saving advantages through the use of cutting-edge technology," according to Robert Hoppenstedt, executive vice president, personal banking at $2 billion Liberty Bank.
Liberty Bank will realize gains in operating efficiency through the use of COCC's bank-wide image research capabilities.
Commercial customers will also enjoy the convenience of online access to check images and electronic statements.
"With more and more customers demonstrating a preference for banking electronically, it's important that we continually upgrade our services to offer them the latest enhancements," said Hoppenstedt.
COCC's experience with next-generation image technology will help it develop electronic services for both small- and large-business clientele, he added.
COCC also sells financial management and electronic banking services.
"Our image processing services do not require an institution to utilize our core processing systems," said Richard Leone. CEO of COCC.
