ICBA Offers iPhone App for Locating Community Banks

The Independent Community Bankers Association has introduced an iPhone application designed to help people find the nearest community bank using their Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

The ICBA Community Bank Locator app is available for free on the iTunes store and App Store. It is designed to provide pinpoint directions to the community bank of the consumer's choice. Additionally, most community bank Web sites are "clickable" and the application includes addresses and contact information, while providing the Apple device's GPS navigation to the selected community bank.

"As the voice for our nation's nearly 8,000 community banks, ICBA is thrilled to offer consumers a convenient way to search for their local community bank at the touch of a finger," said Chris Lorence, ICBA senior vice president of marketing, in a statement. "This new tool will give consumers an easy way to find a community bank in their area so they can take advantage of the superior customer service, trustworthy expertise and quality financial service products that only a community bank can offer."
