Huntington Bank Names New Directors of Payments/Channels and Treasury Management
Mark R. Sheehan has joined Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington Bank as EVP and payments and channels director. Sheehan will lead efforts to expand Huntington's online banking, mobile banking, call center, debit card business and retail branch and ATM distribution network. He reports to Mary Navarro, senior EVP and retail and business banking director.
Prior to joining Huntington, Sheehan headed JPMorgan Chase's online and mobile development for consumer and business banking. Additionally, he was the loan, deposit and treasury management product manager for business banking. He also managed credit card services at First USA.
"Consumers and business owners today are time-starved," said Navarro, in a press release. "At Huntington, we are committed to offering them ways to bank that are easy and convenient—no matter how they want to bank with us. Mark has a comprehensive background of technical skills, business acumen and enthusiasm that will allow Huntington to expand choices for customers."
Huntington Bank also announced that Douglas G. Hartsema has joined the bank as a senior vice president and director of treasury management. He will be responsible for expanding Huntington's treasury management business. Hartsema reports to Jim Dunlap, senior EVP and regional and commercial banking director.
"With [Doug's] expertise, Huntington will be able to add to its treasury management capabilities for small business, middle market and corporate customers," Dunlap said in a press release.
Hartsema most recently worked at JPMorgan Chase as a managing director in charge of the receivables business. Prior to joining Chase, Hartsema worked at Wachovia Bank and Trust Co., where he headed treasury services. Also at Wachovia, Hartsema led institutional trust and was a banking operations executive in charge of the operational components of the entire treasury management product suite. He is the 2010 vice chairman of The Association for Work Process Improvement, a former board member of NACHA and a former member of VISA's electronic payments advisory board.
