Fiserv to Implement New Flex-Form Module From Datacard Group
Financial technology provider Fiserv announced that it has implemented secure ID provider Datacard's new flex-form module, which integrates with the DataCard MXD card delivery system.
The flex-form module will enable Fiserv clients to personalize and affix cards to a larger card carrier size. According to Fiserv, this is ideal for applications that require larger card carriers with more real estate for robust messaging and promotional information. It will also work with Fiserv card features designed to get cardholders' attention to increase activation rates and transaction volumes, the company said.
The flex-form module pre-folds the larger printed carriers to an 8.5” x 11” size and turns the paper to the orientation anticipated by the MXD card delivery system. The MXD system then performs its normal functions by automatically affixing the cards and folding the carriers into C, Z or half-folds so they are ready to be inserted into envelopes, according to Fiserv.
Ultimately, Fiserv said the new module fits in to its overall strategy of providing end-to-end production capabilities to help banks, credit unions and retailers make plastic card programs a success by increasing customer loyalty and transaction rates.
