Firethorn Expands M-Banking Offering to Android Phones
Mobile banking application service provider Firethorn, a Qualcomm Company (Atlanta) is now offering its financial institution customers an application for handsets using Google's G1 Android platform.
Firethorn says this allows FIs to expand their reach among their customer bases and that the Android app will bring more efficiencies when sending SMS alerts. Firethorn's mobile banking Android application allows G1 users to securely manage their finances, including checking balances and transaction history, transferring funds, receiving offers, viewing and paying bills, and tracking rewards points.
The m-banking application features a single-PIN access that lets users to securely access accounts with multiple financial services providers from a single application. It is available for download from Firethorn's partner financial institutions.
