Citibank Hong Kong Adopts New Platform for M-Banking, Stock Trading
San Francisco-based Mobile Money Ventures (MMV), a joint venture of Citi (New York) and SK Telecom (Seoul), is providing Citibank Hong Kong with a new service platform that supports mobile banking and mobile stock trading. The offering will give customers of Citibank Hong Kong another way to securely manage their finances.
MMV has customized features for iPhone 3G users including a mobile stock trading application to enhance the end-user experience. MMV's device and network independent mobile financial services solution allows Citibank Hong Kong customers to manage their banking--account inquiry and management, transfer and payments, and time deposit applications--and stock trading--order (buy and sell), pending order management, stock quotation and portfolio management--from wherever they are at anytime using their mobile phone. MMV's mobile financial services platform is designed with an emphasis on user-friendliness and security, with the secured mobile transactions ensured by two factor authentication, according to the company.
