- Bank of America, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Scotiabank and Westpac have formed the Global ATM Alliance, a network of ATMs offering no-fee access.

- SWIFT, Belgium, has changed its rules to allow member institutions to use the FIN and SWIFTNet messaging networks for delivery of banking services to corporate customers.

- DG HYP, Germany, used Algo ALM, a risk management software product from Algorithmics, Toronto, to meet regulatory deadlines for reporting interest rate risk.

- ABN AMRO, Netherlands, has introduced ID-Key, a smart card product that allows customers to access multiple online applications secured by Identrus, New York.

- Vysya Bank, India, has gone live with PROFILE, an integrated banking solution from Sanchez Computer Associates, Malvern, Pa., as part of a plan to modernize its retail and corporate banking operations.
