Citizens National Bank of Meridian and Metavante Renew Long-Term Core Banking Agreement

The bank will add Metavante's imaging services, risk and compliance solutions, CRM, consulting and professional services, and participation in the NYCE Payments Network.

Citizens National Bank of Meridian (more than $1 billion in assets) has renewed its multiyear core banking agreement with Metavante Corporation (Milwaukee), continuing the Meridian, Miss.-based bank's 31-year core processing relationship with Metavante.

Citizens National Bank of Meridian uses the vendor's Bankway software, a comprehensive core banking package that uses a single-system, customer-centric architecture. The renewal agreement broadens the bank's deployment of Metavante banking and payments technology with the adoption of a suite of its products and services. The additional solutions include imaging services, risk and compliance solutions, customer relationship management, consulting and professional services, and participation in the NYCE Payments Network. In addition Citizens National Bank of Meridian is switching all of its debit and ATM transaction processing to Metavante's electronic funds transfer (EFT) technology.

"Citizens National Bank of Meridian's multi-decade partnership with Metavante demonstrates our confidence in their ability to provide quality solutions to support our short- and long-term goals," said David Barr, chief operating officer, Citizens National Bank of Meridian, in a statement announcing the agreement. "By incorporating ancillary solutions to our existing Metavante services and replacing current EFT technology, we can assure Citizens National Bank customers a more fluid and effortless banking experience."
